I would assume because of its impractical, space wasting design.

Also, LOL DTR!

Playstation Move (official name of the motion controller) coming this fall. Socom 4 is going to use the controllers too. I basically see it as an HD Wii-style experience, and unlike Natal, the controller will not tax the system and take away from any potential from the games. So it's a nice in between ground. I will be buying one, nothing crazy announced so far for it, but I think it'll be neat.

This is meh news, but fortunately Sony supports some really good independent small game developers, so I would imagine the games they come up with for PSN for the Move will actually be pretty good. The motion control in many PSN games from the existing controller comes to mind. However, when it comes to the large scale games, I would imagine it will be implemented as more of a gimmick. But then again, some games like Heavy Rain took the SIXAXIS motion to heart and designed with it well. So who knows? At the very least, this might draw some Wii peeps.

Considering that Sony has failed severely with the Eye/Eyetoy and the Sixaxis, I can't imagine a combination of the two will do any better. Seriously, think about it. Sixaxis was highly touted when the PS3 was new, yet what has happened to it? It was stripped out of the biggest PS3 release in years, while that game's prequel used it.

Though I'm not going to lie, the sixaxis grenade throwing in Uncharted was horrible </bltant reference to what I'm talking about for those who don't know>

Playstation Move is such a blatant Wii rip-off. I guess it would be nice if I ever felt like polishing my archery skills though. :P

I think with the sixaxis, they were quickly trying to respond to the Wii after they announced the controller. It was definitely poorly done, but I think the Move can succeed at bringing that Wii style of gameplay to the PS3 because they have had quite awhile to design and test the knock-off, and they know that is exactly what it is. The reason I think it'll be neat is because the controls will actually have current hardware to back up the control style for its games, as well as PS3s network and development teams. They already showed off SOCOM 4 using it.

Now I am not saying I want to replace the regular DS3 with this Move, but I just think if you want to have any kind of motion experience, this seems like the best way to go. There have been some good ideas and things on the Wii that would be cool to see done with some power behind it, like Red Steel, and I would still like to see a Pikmin style RTS thing with controllers like this..

Oh yay the PS3 will now have waggle games.

Motion controls are cool if done right. Maybe a dozen games on the Wii have actually done them right, and that console has had a waggle stick since day one. One of two things is going to happen with the Move: there will be some neat launch titles for it and then nothing after that, or Sony will start requiring developers to use it, which will only serve to push them away from the PS3.

I dont think they will try and force them, but I think they can leverage them, like "Yeah, if you are making it on Natal or Wii, why not just bring it here, without it being held back by hardware, and in HD and actual buttons for input."

I don't remember if any of you fine fellows likes Super Robot Wars, but here is a trailer from the new ds game. I think it is one of the OG titles (whatever that means) so there is at least some chance it might get released in NA.

Masou Kishin The Lord of Elemental Trailer

Honestly, it doesn't look all that great.
