Possibly. The highlights of the game are the huge cast with Suikoden style recruitment and cutesy stylized graphics. Another cool feature is that the game has a day night cycle and the recruitable characters travel to various locations depending on the time. The main human town is huge and has a great atmosphere with all the characters traveling to and fro on their daily routines, the other non human towns aren't even half as cool though and feel pretty lame in comparison.

Unfortunately you can only control the main character and the action orientated battle system takes awhile to get interesting. Once you have gathered a good selection of companion characters, techniques and equipment it is fun enough.

The storyline is divided into two distinct scenarios where you team up with one side or the other. With each side having totally different characters to recruit as well as town to explore. There is also a bunch of post game content if you are in to that.

I would say it is worth checking out, but just don't expect a whole lot from the first few hours.

It definitely isn't bad and the final boss of the post game dungeon is one of my most hated boss fights ever in videogames.

I played a level of Trine. You know, it's weird. Even though I like Trine (and Shadow Complex on the 360), they feel to much like full fledged games to me. So i feel like I have to really be like "I want to play Trine right now!" to actually get it started. On the other hand, I have Bomberman Ultra (and Bubble Bobble Neo for the 360), then they are nice bite sized games. There have been countless times I turned on either system, not knowing what to play, only to get sucked into either of those two. It's like, I don't know what to play, so i play one of those to think about something I want to play...

Yeah Trine does have that 'more than a simple download game' feeling to it. They developers did a pretty kick ass job with the graphics and voice work.

Personally it's one of my favorite PS2 game. Riverking summed up the game pretty well, though I would add that I rather like the humorous tone of the game and the huge cast of colorful characters, which are almost all recruitable.(with Valkyrie Profile cameos in post game) The day/night cycle gives a really dynamic and involving aspect to the city IMO. I also like that you can kick everything and everyone to find objects and provoke duels.

Overall I'd suggest you try it. Opinions seem really divided from what I've seen in reviews and other message boards. It's not a groundbreaking game, but I found it was fun enough to play multiple times, which I can't say about a lot of RPGs.

Image I don't remember who it was exactly (I am thinking Kid) but someone said something along the lines that you would have to be gay to want to play Radiata Stories.

I beat Bioshock 2. I went through a 6 or 7 hour sitting to do so, which is incredible for me. And I think that explains really how much I fucking love the game. The ending was pretty interesting. Definitely a big OH FUCK moment right at the end. Overall though, I highly recommend it to anyone who liked the original. Yeah, it's more of the same, but is that a bad thing? Not to me!

Finished up DA: Awakening. It held my interest much better than I had anticipated.

Just started up The Saboteur last night and played through the prologue. So far I like it.

I was going to (insert laughter here) play Two Worlds next but when I went to put the copy I bought months earlier for $5 in the system kept rejecting it. Turns out I got an English language Japanese copy somehow! NTSC-J! :x

You did yourself a huge favor. Did you buy the game from Newegg.com? They screw up orders like that all the time.
